FINCA Malawi, as part of celebrating Customer Experience day, conducted a customer experience day that was combined with a National Wide Mother’s Day Celebration on October 14th, with all branches participating. The activity was aimed at increasing awareness of FINCA customer experience amongst staff at the same time documenting feedbacks both positive and negative from customers.
FINCA finally introduced savings products to customers in the northern part of Malawi. This is a continued financial inclusion initiative that FINCA is advancing after accessing the Deposit Taking licence.
On 1st April FINCA Malawi officially launched the savings license and savings products with Henderson Street branch being the first service center. This is in response to a Microfinance Deposit-Taking Institution (MDI) license which FINCA was awarded by Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) in September 2015 and is now the first licensed MDI in the country.
FINCA Malawi has embarked on a drive to introduce savings products to consumers in Lilongwe and surrounding areas in the Central Region. The development follows the official Savings launch on April 1, 2016.
The Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) on Friday 1st April, 2016, urged players in the financial industry to ensure that are transparent so that customers are fully aware of the contracts that they are entering with them.
One of the key tools to break the cycle of poverty is education! FINCA Malawi recently participated in National Financial literacy Week with a donation of monetary prizes.
